Ok, this diary is not going to go over well with a lot of the liberals who are still enclosed in their self created bubble that they erected during the primaries, but it needs to be said for the sake of reality.
Firstly, let me just proudly state that I stayed home on Election Day because I couldn’t bring myself to vote for one of 2 shitty candidates, I’m not ashamed of this so save your claims of me being responsible for the election of Trump to the White House.
In fact if anyone is responsible for Trumps victory, it is Clinton herself and every single person that voted for her in the primaries, including POC (which by the way I should state here that I am Muslim so go ahead and call me racist or bigoted if that makes you feel better lol). Yep I said it, you are all to blame for choosing to nominate Clinton, it's as simple as that.
We had a primary where one candidate (namely Sanders) wanted to help all people (whites, POC like me, men, women, etc etc), except for corporations, in fact he wanted to turn around the widening income equality gap and start helping the 99% at the expense of the 1%. He ran his primary campaign on the backs of the ordinary people who donated to him because he rejected big donor money and he was also against all but the most necessary of wars.
The other candidate in the primary, Clinton, was one who was in her position as SOS and accepted donations from countries such as Saudi Arabia towards her charity foundation, who then so happened to miraculously get their first weapons sale from the U.S in decades. That is fact, you can dismiss it as just being coincidence all you like, doesn't change the events that happened. In fact, what better reason could there be for her to have her own email server in her own basement where she was able to delete 30.000 emails she claimed to be private, do I need to explain more how much smoke there is in this chain or events?
She gave ‘private’ speeches behind closed doors to corporations who paid her millions in return, and she spent big chunks of her general election campaign once again behind closed doors where she hosted big donors to the tune of sometimes 200.000 dollars a plate.
The big money, the corporations whose only objective is to make more profit loved her, whilst they turned their backs on Trump, if that doesn't tell you all you need to know regarding her candidacy then I don't know what does.
Not to mention that she was the most pro hawk democratic candidate I have known in my life, the Ukraine fiasco was orchestrated by her State department, the Libya debacle was at her urging, she advocates for a no fly zone in Syria which our own top general testified to congress would end in a war with Russia if instituted, she is hawkish on Iran and started sounding like she was from the Cold War era when it came to Russia.
Now i’ve got all that out of the way, the fact that anyone in the Democratic Party would vote for her in the primary is the reason that Trump is president elect.
We as a party had a chance to choose a more moral and more economic justice candidate in our primary, we had a chance to choose a better human being and someone interested in helping the 99% (meaning everyone, all people of all colours and races and religions) at the expense of the 1% and corporations (those people who have no soul and who will gladly sell you out if it meant just a little more profit for them) yet we chose the worse candidate and as a result we now complain that the nation as a whole chose an even worse candidate over her. Talk about hypocrisy at its finest.
The fact that POC rights (including my own) will most likely be curtailed under Trump, falls squarely on the shoulders of anyone that cast a vote for Hillary in the primary.
You wanted her even if it meant losing people like me, and you got your way. You were victorious and you got to run a general election campaign, congrats to you.
Unfortunately, you don't get to automatically earn my vote just because you got your preferred candidate to prevail in the primary, if my preference and others preferences are not good enough for you to consider when casting your primary vote for a neoliberal close to Wall Street and corporations rather than someone who wants to help every single one of us at the expense of these corporations, then our preferences are certainly not good enough for you to ask for us to vote for your candidate during the general election.
Let me just conclude by pointing out that the Republican Party doesn't have a monopoly on dumb, our party has just as many as theirs does.
It seriously boggles the mind that liberals on here and elsewhere can claim that the WWC (and remember I’m a Muslim and have experienced racism by some of these WWC) are mostly racist because they voted for what they were told is in their own self interest.
I am a minority, but I also deal in realism, and to see so many liberals expecting the WWC in the Rust Belt to gladly accept the loss of their jobs as a sacrifice for the good of the nation just so the 1%ers who all flocked around Clinton in this election, could continue to make more and more profit at the expense of the WWC is ludicrous.
So have at it people, do your worst in the comments section, after all even though I’m attempting to break you out of your self created bubble, I don't have much hope that I will succeed.
