Welcome to the south. We have officially started summer here. Yesterday and today we had temps up in the mid 80's and they are calling for 90's before the week is out. Kind of sucks to be without an AC at this time. It was a nice sauna like 84 in the house today. So glad the humidity has not rocketed up as well or I would be in a ball screaming. I have to say I sure picked the wrong area to live in with a messed up back and nice metal ladder from L3 down. As I mentioned in another diaryHere Our AC is broke. We have no cash at the moment to fix it since almost any extra goes to the doctors so I can keep being treated. So the wonderful wife and I and our two loving furbabies put up with the heat.
If it was just me I wouldn't mind too much after all it is my back that is causing us to spend all our money on medical bills. Well okay truth is I would mind, it is kind of nuts to end the work day dripping from sweat. Part of that is my medicine. It causes me to sweat a lot, heck last summer I would often wake up and have to dry the sheets because I sweated so much. Kind of stinks pretty bad too. Wow Just got a whiff of myself. Pretty darn stinky. My poor baby Kyra, she is 13 now and is not liking the heat that much. We keep her inside as much as possible and make sure she has plenty of fresh water and even put a couple of ice cubes in it for her and Buddy my 8 year old sun well almost 9. He hits 9 in July. He takes it much better than Kyra.
Well with the heat my back is aching but as that humidity starts to creep up that ache gets worse and worse. When we hit that 90% humidity it will be a real killer for me. Hopefully that will be after the local pools open. Will try and spend as much time as possible soaking in the pool. That helps and it lets me do my exercises too. I would kill for my own indoor pool but I know that is on the never gonna happen list. Oh well still hate to be sliding quicker and quicker towards our very hot and sticky summer.
Have my first appointment on the 7th with the new surgeon. Fingers crossed on what I might hear from them. Anything to get out of pain is my motto at the moment. Probably not going to happen but hoping and praying. Will let you all know what happens when I see him. Been a very long day. Well actually 2 days, put in 11 1/2 hours each day yesterday and today. Wow that is a lot of work. Now my back wants to relax so it is off to the bedroom to steal the bed back from my wonderful wife since she works 3rd shift :)
